Fall Festival & the 99th Annual Halloween Parade in Centralia

On October 31, 2026, head downtown for the Fall Festival. Enjoy a car show, chili, and family activities, then settle in for the 99th Annual Centralia Halloween Parade at 7:00pm.

Start Your Saturday Downtown

The Fall Festival runs from 9:00am – 2:00pm, with some activities starting earlier or continuing into the afternoon. Come hungry, bring the kids in costume and leave time to explore.

Early risers can stop by the Masonic Lodge’s pancake breakfast from 7:00am – 12:00pm or join the community bicycle ride at 8:00am. Throughout the day, browse the car show, craft fair, downtown flea market and vendors, or stop in for the Brush & Palette Club Fall Show and a visit to the Centralia Historical Museum.

There’s plenty to keep little ones busy. A few times to keep handy:

  • 9:00am – 2:00pm: Little Obie–CN train rides

  • 9:30am – 9:45am: Mummy Wrap Challenge

  • 9:30am – 2:30pm: Children’s games

  • 10:00am – 11:00am: Centralia Moose Lodge #1219 costume contest at Centralia Regional Library

  • 12:00pm – 2:00pm: Peek a Boo Safety Vehicles

Stay for Chili, Entertainment & Costumed Pets

Make time for lunch! The chili public tasting runs from 12:00pm – 1:30pm, while supplies last.

Entertainment around Locust and 2nd Streets will feature local marching, dance, tumbling and music groups. And the costumes aren’t just for people—the Best Dressed Pet Contest, sponsored by Buchheit, takes place from 1:00pm – 2:00pm.

Between activities, take a walk through downtown, explore the shops and find a spot to enjoy a meal before the evening parade.

A Halloween Tradition Nearly a Century in the Making

At 7:00pm, the celebration continues with the 99th Annual Centralia Halloween Parade. This year’s theme, “Patriotic Pumpkins,” brings Halloween spirit together with a tribute to veterans during America’s 250th anniversary year.

The Grand marshal for the 2026 Halloween Parade: All Veterans. There are three veterans organization commanders Curt Hongsermeier, Al Simmons and LeRoy Roper, who will represent the grand marshal in the parade. The lineup includes veterans groups, first responders, marching bands, community organizations and floats from local businesses, schools and families.

Watch for the Centralia High School and Junior High School combined marching band performing “Thriller,” the Centralia Foundation Calliope and creative entries ranging from “Star Spangled Spookley” to “The Pumpkin 500.”

View the full parade lineup on the Chamber website. Additional entries may be added before parade day.
